DREW PHILLIPS

At the end of the day, advertising is a business.

And it's a Brand Manager's job to ensure the business is successful. So in a sea of positive reviews, I think it's important to let you know that Paige isn't to be trusted with your business.

One Thanksgiving during Covid, Paige made delicious pumpkin pies for people stuck in their homes. Rather than sell the pies, she gave them away. She even delivered them herself. I personally received one of these pies so I can speak firsthand to the deliciousness and fiscal carelessness on Paige's part. Think of the ROI lost. Is that someone you think you can trust for your business?

Additionally, Paige knows and is friendly with musician and artist-types. These people don't care at all about increasing revenue. Her hanging with this type of crowd should speak for itself, but I'll go even further to explain the lack of business acumen that Paige shows in her daily life.

Paige was friends with one of my favorite bands (I refuse to name drop in case this band's very, very impressive status could cloud your judgement) and gave me an autographed vinyl AT NO CHARGE. She asked for nothing in return. Zip.

This is a simple supply and demand model. This is business school 101 stuff. She had something incredibly valuable to me, and gave it to me when I would have paid her money for it. Again, I ask 'Is that someone you think you can trust for your business?'

So please, before you consider hiring her to grow your business.

Please take into account her kindness and generosity that will get in the way of year over year profits.

A concerned marketer,
Drew Phillips

If Paige Brown were a consumer packaged good, she would be High-Class Salt of the Earth™. Equally stunning in both her worldliness and down-to-earthness, her exceptional taste and her consistent hankering for Whole Bowl. I give her five stars. 10/10. Life-changing and would buy again.

Paige, I am wishing you all the best as you cross the threshold to the other side of this place. It's weird out here. But then again, it's weird in there. And I think that's what life is, really. A never-ending process of choosing the weird you want to get down with.
I'm looking forward to seeing you soon, hopefully very soon, hopefully at Jake's, and hopefully with a dirty martini in-hand (and for me, a very dirty martini).
I can't wait to see what's next for you. And not in that ladder-climby, achievementy, LinkedIn-y way. Fuck that shit. Nah, more in that Mary Oliver-y way: "Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life."

I can't wait for you to lean over your Gibson and tell me. I'll be all ears.

Sending all my love,
V.

Paige!! I have never met a manager who put me at complete ease from Day 1. From the first zoom interview, to the in office interview, to the lunch with you and Thomas - I thought to myself either this woman is a complete sociopath and knows how to mimic kindness and empathy really well and I'm going to regret being trapped under a spell by her charm; or this is really who she is and I'm in for an incredible journey with an amazing soul I can learn and grow from. I'm glad I went with my second thought.

You somehow found the perfect balance of being funny, whip smart, kind, incredible at building a deck, and a people centered leader all at the same time. And I am proud to not only say that you were one of the best managers I've had, but you are an incredible friend. Thank you for loving my sweet Butters. Thank you for welcoming me to your home. Thank you for the coastal adventure and pizza nights and drinks and lending your ear and FUCK not to mention being a superhero of a mom!
Like who tf are you???

I'm so proud of you deciding to put yourself first and explore new ventures. I literally can't wait to see what you do next cus you will excel at literally anything

DEJANA PERIC

Paige, I don't even remember meeting you. We've just somehow always known each other during our shared time at W+K? Mostly I remember being on opposite sides of the same pod, me working late on Expedia and you working late on Visa. You working early on Visa, and me working early on Expedia. That theme continued. I'm so excited for work to look different for you from here on out. You are such an incredible, generous, and thoughtful person. And after all those years working early and late, the universe owes you much less screen time. See you soon! Dejana

Paige is the undisputed queen of martinis at Jake’s.

Some of my favorite evenings at W+K were spent across the table from her, talking shop over ‘tinis.

I’ll miss those evenings, and everything she’s brought to this place over the years.

What I’ll carry with me most is her steady wit and her knack for navigating sticky situations with grace.

Cheers, Paige.
Next round’s on me.

Perhaps it's cliché, but it's the honest truth...One of the special things about this crazy fucking place is that it can bring people into your life at just the right time. Paige was one of those people for me...

It's 2020. We're in the midst of COVID (but you already knew that). I'd recently come back from a medical leave, finally feeling like I was getting my shit together but nervous about what my life would look like on the "other side." I'd been asked to eventually take on running media on Old Spice. I'd be Kelly Muller's (Hey Kelly!) sidekick until I was ready to take the reins. It was one of my first presentations and I remember getting into the deck thinking "Who the fuck put this setup together???." It was funny, the use of gifs was impeccable, and most importantly it was to the point and set up the meeting and work beautifully. I set out to meet this strategist (via zoom), only to find out it was Paige (no shade to my planners here, y'all were probably working on 8 other projects at the time). From then on I was met with the magic that is Paige Brown. A leader that will scrub in wherever needed whether that be writing a whole ass setup, taking you out for a Gibson after a particularly hard meeting, getting you a snack because you're hangry and she's keen enough to know it, providing the best damn feedback you probably didn't know you needed to hear, putting together an argument for the work that rivals Olivia Pope in the midst of a crisis, or being that phone a friend when you can't remember the words to "Anthems of a Seventeen Year Old" from the early 2000's (also I refuse to call it the aughts, because who the fuck came up with that shit???). If you were lucky enough to have worked with Paige then you know what I'm talking about. And if you didn't, well I can only hope that a "Paige like human" (because unfortunately there's no one on earth exactly like her, that's science) comes into your orbit at "just the right time".

Love you Paige 😘

I've loved Paige since our first interaction. I think it was watching her professional and confident delivery of a fee proposal deck to a client. Who was this amazing woman? Whoever she was, I was so glad that W+K had made such a smart hire. Since that first day, I've grown to know Paige well and have enjoyed every interaction with her. She is so cool, calm, composed and shoots it straight. And she's fun! Our monthly catch ups to talk all things finance covers the bases, but the best part is the human interaction with her. After the business is done, we end up talking about tangential topics, whether it's kids, how often we wash our hair or politics. Across it all, she brings levity to all situations and I'm so thankful for all these years with her.

And I'll leave it with this:
P: Patient (a calm anchor for the team)
A: Adaptable (ready for any challenge that came her way)
I: Invaluable (a true cornerstone of our client success)
G: Gracious (always handling pressure with kindness and ease)
E: Energetic (bringing focus and great momentum to every project)

Love you, Paige!

Paige Brown is a world class gal.

She has this remarkable ability to package up anything contentious, awkward, or dull and turn it into something eloquent, thoughtful, fun or inspiring.

She brings levity when it's needed and a realness that is welcome in any room. She doesn't shy away from the hard stuff.

Her all agency emails are some of my favourites - usually heartfelt kindness or a spark of fun.

We will miss you dearly Paige Brown!
